Booking a charter fishing trip with Salt Fin Charters is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and catch fish in Beaufort County, South Carolina. Whether you have a deep-sea fishing trip in mind or prefer to stay in shallow water, our fun and experienced captain and crew are ready to take you on an unforgettable day of fishing.

Salt Fin Charters offers four fishing charter options to accommodate anglers of all ages, skill levels, and interests. Our captain and crew are excited to create a memorable experience of a lifetime!

Half-Day

Our half-day Charter is between 4 to 5 hours long. This east coast charter is an excellent way to experience ocean fishing in nearshore reefs in the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on the season, some species we'll be fishing for inshore include Speckled Sea Trout, Cobia, Red Drum, Black Drum, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Spadefish, and Sea Bass. Captain Andrew will create a custom fishing plan for your group based on the species you want to angle. This Charter could include sight fishing the waters around Hilton Head, Fripp Island, Hunting Island, Harbor Island, and Edisto Island.

3/4 Day — Offshore/Nearshore Charter

Our 3/4 day trips offer more flexibility, with 6 to 8 hours on the water. This Charter runs up to 30 miles offshore, depending on where the bite is. This offshore fishing trip explores hotspots, including underwater ledges and live bottom - old deep water coral reefs from millions of years ago! During this Charter, charter guests can target a wide variety of species, including much larger species of bottom fish, including Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack, and pelagic fish that thrive higher in the water column based on seasonality. Then, of course, we will visit the nearshore reefs on the way back to shore!

Full-Day — Offshore/Nearshore Fishing Charter

Why not make a day of it? Our full-day fishing charter trips include 8 to 10 hours on the water. This saltwater fishing charter covers a distance of up to 30 miles offshore, depending on where the bite is. We'll fish underwater ledges and live bottom, ancient deep water coral reefs from millions of years ago!

Depending on the time of year, charter guests may target larger species of bottom fish such as Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack and pelagic fish that thrive higher in the water column on this Charter. On the way home, we'll stop to fish nearshore reefs.

Blue Water+  — Deep Sea Fishing Charter

Reeling in the trophy fish is part of the fun, and a seasoned angler who seeks the thrill of a big catch will undoubtedly appreciate our Blue Water+ Charter. With 12+ hours to fish in deep water, professional guide Captain Andrew takes guests up to 90 miles offshore to the Gulf Stream. Deep-sea saltwater fishing guests can target Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Sailfish, Sharks, Redfish, Sharks, and Blackfin Tuna. In addition, we can use different fishing techniques, including trolling and kite fishing in the beautiful waters of the Gulf Stream. Our Blue Water+ Charter is the perfect package for anglers who appreciate the thrill of the hunt in deeper waters.

Cancellation Policy

With your safety in mind, we reserve the right to make the following changes:

  • Change package, offshore to inshore - If the reported winds are too high for offshore fishing, we will fish inshore for multiple species, depending on the season.
  • Cancel the trip - If high winds and/or heavy rain prevent getting on the water, we will refund your money for the trip.

Should weather become an issue, your Captain will call or email you with options and prices of inshore trips a few days before your scheduled trip.
